GTAs spotted for sale

1988 Renault Alpine GTA Dark red Manual, 5 speed Right Ha...

Certainly looks like a lot of car for the money, but the telling photos would be of the underside. I guess they are a bit of an orphan, but I do not understand the lack of interest these cars hold with most Renaultphiles. They look good (in my opinion) and the bodies hold up well, they drive in a sporting manner with good handling and dynamics, with mechanical parts reasonably easy to obtain, along with an exclusivity particularly in Australia. In RHD only 343 Turbos and 180 naturally aspirated cars built, with 20 GTA, 34 Turbo and 1 LeMans on UK roads with a total of 237 on SORN.

that's only about $15K aud

That looks, as the ad says, a decent base for a resto. The photo doesn't show the chassis is too badly affected by tin worm from the salted roads, but a photo is only an indicator. Ad sais twin turbo, looks to me to be the standard single turbo set up.
Car looks untouched.

From John Ashley Cars an Alpine GTA Specialist in the UK. RHD, well sorted very low miles, $35 500 AUD plus import and compliance.
